    In close collaboration with the Afghan government, AKHS, Afghanistan (AKHS, A) was founded in 2003 to offer primary healthcare and curative medical services to the local population. Presently, AKHS actively collaborates with the Ministry of Public Health to execute the Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) throughout all Badakhshan and Bamyan districts, in addition to Baghlan’s Aga Khan Medical Centre, Pul-e-Khumri.
