Job Description

The Branch Manager is responsible for overall supervision of the branch; ensuring that the laid down policies and procedures are duly implemented and followed; managing resources and staff; developing and attaining sales goals; delivering customer service and growing the location\’s revenues.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Overall supervision and management of the Branch.
  2. Overseeing and submission of financial reports and monthly progress of the branch.
  3. Managing employees and lead day-to-day responsibilities.
  4. Recruit and interview new employees and then recommending to HO and HR.
  5. Assist with customer service to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
  6. Ensuring capacity building and career progression of staff in the branch Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation. Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  7. Create plans and forecasts that are built to fit future needs.
  8. Work to grow business and customer acquisition. Ensuring regular business meetings and reporting the update to the line supervisor.
  9. Conducting performance evaluation of the branch staff and provide them regular feed-back in order to improve staff’s skills and capabilities.
  10. Ensuring staff motivation and encouraging staff for optimum productivity and efficiency.
  11. Handling and resolving customer complaints.
  12. Submitting routine reports to the General Manager Branches and provides updates on the business status.
  13. Ensuring implementation and follow ups for new circulars and revision in policies.
  14. Controls and reports branch losses, such as loss resulting from incidents such as clerical error or forgery.
  15. Participates in community affairs as representative of the Bank and to increase the Bank\’s visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities.
  16. Ensuring cash management and remittance in the branch as per policy.
  17. Supervising account opening section and ensuring timely processing of account opening forms and other customer instructions.
  18. In charge of the sanitation and promotes cleanliness in the office.
  19. Performs other tasks related to business management whenever required.
  20. Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
  21. Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
  22. Addresses customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
  23. Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
  24. Any other work/ assignment duly delegated by the Management.

Job Requirement

  • University degree, preferably in Business Management/ Administration field.
  • Proven branch management experience, as a Bank Manager or similar role (Managerial position) for at least 3 years
  • Needs to be a leader, a problem-solver and be goal-oriented.
  • Ability to analyze and improve processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Professional and innovative.
  • Persuasiveness and disciplined.
  • Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practises
  • Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
