Job Description
The Deutsche Welle traineeship is among the greatest programs for journalists to study in Germany (DW). This program includes fast-paced courses with DW editorial offices as well as seminars and workshops. To get deeper insight into media concepts and refine their creative ideas, candidates for this traineeship program should have previous experience in journalism or be eager to transition from a job in law, finance, the sciences, or technology/IT to journalism.
We are seeking young people interested in participating in an international broadcaster’s comprehensive, top-notch journalism program from around the world. Applicants should be passionate about moving from the legal, economic, scientific, or IT fields to journalism or have prior experience in the field. We are searching for innovative, open-minded individuals. We are specifically seeking specialists from a variety of fields. Also, you ought to be able to think for yourself and come up with original concepts.
TV moderation, multimedia storytelling, data journalism, social media, and virtual reality are just a few of the skills covered in the program, in addition to in-person sessions at the DW editorial headquarters and our correspondent bureaux in Washington and Brussels. In addition to participating in long-term, worldwide creative projects, DW trainees have previously won the Grimme Prize and the CNN Journalism Award. The trainees often stay on staff at DW after completing their traineeship.
