Job Description

With the goal of diversifying its student body, the Ecole Normale Supérieure accepts students from all fields and countries who are enrolled in either the first year of their master’s degree (master 1) or the third year of their bachelor’s degree (license 3). Young graduates in the sciences and arts who can justify at least a year of undergraduate study at a foreign institution and who stand out for their exceptional performance are targeted for the competitive examination of the international selection.

Gaining entrance to ENS via the challenging international selection test allows one to participate in world-class training in a unique training and research environment, all while interacting with outstanding researchers. International students continue their studies at ENS and at the university concurrently, integrate into the community of normalized students, and receive accommodations on one of the ENS campuses as well as a three-year grant of one thousand euros. Upon completion of their studies, these students were awarded both an École normale supérieure certificate and a master’s degree in their field of study.

The examination takes place in two steps: a selection based on application, followed by oral and written tests in Paris for shortlisted candidates.
