The OSCE Academy in Bishkek is a public foundation that was established in 2002 through a partnership between the Kyrgyz Government and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The Academy is committed to promoting the principles and values of the OSCE through post-graduate education, professional training, research, and intellectual exchange. The Academy’s MA Program in the field of “Economic Governance and Development” is highly competitive and enrolls a maximum of 30 students each year. This program is designed for young professionals with a strong work ethic who seek to expand their knowledge in the areas of economics, international development studies, and good governance.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, this is a full-time, 18-month program that requires all enrolled students to participate in a preparatory summer school from August 5th to August 29th, 2024. During the preparatory summer school, students are required to travel to and be based in Bishkek.

Eligibility

• Successful completion of an academic degree of higher education (four-year BA degree, Specialist Diploma, or final year BA program) in the field of economics, finance, management, business administration, or other equivalent subjects;
• Citizenship of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, or any other OSCE-participating State;
• advanced level of English (at least 6.5 on the IELTS or 90 on the TOEFL).
