The Chinese Ministry of Education developed the Fully-Funded government scholarship to help Chinese institutions in certain provinces or autonomous regions recruit excellent foreign students for graduate study in China. The teaching language will be Chinese or English depending on the degree you are registered for at SEU.

• 5. HSK 4 and above is needed for most Chinese-taught Programs, HSK5 for medical, MTCSOL, and economics. Otherwise, one year of language learning is required to obtain the certificate;
• 6. If English is not the native language or official language, you are required to provide TOEFL80/IELTS 6.0 for English-taught program;
• 2 Recommendation Letters;
• Research Proposal no less than 800 words;
• PhysicalExamination Record of Foreigners;
• Certificate of No Criminal Conviction;
• Some programs may need other materials. (E.g. Architecture programs ask for the applicant’s portfolio)

• Please be sure the things you provide are genuine. If any false information is discovered in your application documents, you will be disqualified and will not be permitted to reapply to Southeast University for two years;
• The application materials must be written in English or Chinese. A certified English or Chinese translation must be included with any papers in any other language;
• If you have a Chinese name, please enter it because it cannot be altered once you have been admitted;
• Acceptance letter from professors, not the document requested, but it will make your application more competitive.
