Eligibility
- In order to apply for the USTC Fellowship, applicants must be foreign nationals or non-Chinese citizens.
- In order to meet the requirements, individuals must have a valid passport and be in good physical and mental condition. Any spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors have been corrected.
- In order to apply for a bachelor’s program, it is mandatory for all applicants to possess a high school diploma.
- Applicants to the master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree equivalent to the Chinese standard.
- Similarly, doctoral program applicants must hold a master’s degree that meets the Chinese equivalency criteria.
- Those who plan to complete their degree should provide a pre-graduation certificate to confirm their intent to finish their studies and earn their degree by July 2024.
- Applicants for bachelor’s and master’s programs must meet age requirements by September 1, 2024.
- Candidates for doctoral programs should not be more than 45 years of age by the same date.
- For Chinese language programs, HSK Level 4 or higher is required. English program applicants must show English proficiency.

Undergraduate Programs
The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is in charge of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Renowned for its distinctive management studies, well-tailored humanities programs, and cutting-edge science and technology programs, this institution is a major player in the country.
In the twelve disciplines of mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials science, biology, engineering science, computer science, geophysics, environmental science, economic management, and nuclear engineering, USTC provides 36 undergraduate programs.

Graduate Programs
In the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering, electronic information, computer science, earth and space sciences, environmental science, etc., USTC offers 96 master’s programs and 98 doctorate programs. Almost all of these doctorate programs and several master’s programs have English instruction available. After achieving the degree requirement, students will get the graduation certificate and master’s or doctorate degree by completing the necessary credits, finishing their thesis or dissertation, and passing their thesis or dissertation defense. In USTC, master’s degree candidates often need two to three years to complete their prerequisites, whereas doctorate candidates typically need four years.
