About International Medical Corps:
An international nonprofit organization called International Medical Corps is committed to using programs for development, relief, and training in healthcare to save lives and lessen suffering.
International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, and nonsectarian organization that was founded in 1984 by physicians and nurses who volunteered their time. Its goal is to raise standards of living through health interventions and associated initiatives that strengthen regional competence around the globe. International Medical Corps restores damaged healthcare systems and aids in their return to self-sufficiency by providing local populations with training, healthcare, and medical assistance, as well as medical assistance to those who are at high risk. It also has the flexibility to act quickly in emergencies.
