Job Requirements :

 

Background: 

The goal of the Consulting role, which involves serving as a Business Trainer/Mentor, is to evaluate companies in Afghanistan and offer tailored guidance and support in areas such as financial management, marketing, business operations, and planning. The consultant will be tasked with conducting thorough assessments, leading training sessions utilizing pre-established Modules, and collaborating closely with businesses to optimize their overall success.

Scope of Work:

The consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Business Assessment:

  • • Conduct in-depth assessments of selected businesses to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • • Analyze financial activities, business operations, marketing strategies, and business planning processes.
  • • Provide detailed reports on the assessment findings with actionable recommendations for improvement.

Training and Mentoring:

  • • Deliver effective training sessions and workshops to business owners and entrepreneurs based on the module booklets.
  • • Provide one-on-one mentoring and guidance to business owners to implement the concepts and strategies presented in the training sessions.
  • • Continuously monitor and evaluate the progress of the businesses and offer support and assistance as needed.

Business Improvement:

  • • Collaborate with businesses to develop action plans for improvement based on the assessment findings and training outcomes.
  • • Assist businesses in implementing action plans to enhance their financial management, operations, marketing, and business planning practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • • Holders of an MBA or similar master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
  • • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Entrepreneurship, Training, and mentoring businesses, with a focus on SME development.
  • • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Afghan business environment and challenges faced by local businesses.
  • • Proven track record of conducting business assessments and delivering effective training and mentoring programs.
