Job Description

HLI offers instruction in the values, behaviors, and psychology of efficient, moral, and visionary leadership. Additionally, we teach Hansen Fellows how to speak in front of groups and communicate effectively. We have started to focus more on gender concerns in leadership in recent years. Our three-week program’s rigorous, round-the-clock face-to-face community serves as a springboard to a thriving online community where Hansen alumni participate, network, and support one another’s initiatives to promote peace and community development.

Making peace is an art that calls for knowledge and deft people’s abilities. In these areas, HLI offers world-class training and practical instruction. Additionally, we train our Fellows in respectful and effective cross-cultural and political communication with the aim of rapprochement and restorative justice. In many cases of conflict settlement, human rights problems are at the forefront. As a result, a specialist and human rights activist with substantial knowledge and experience in these fields trains HLI Fellows as well.

International collaboration was the cornerstone of Fred J. Hansen’s goal to bring about a more peaceful world. He wanted foreigners to come to the United States to learn more about its society, culture, and politics. He also desired that Americans have a better understanding of other cultures, peoples, and traditions. He was aware that this goal would require principled, passionate, and unwavering leadership.

The hunt for international candidates for the Hansen Leadership Institute 2024 is now open. International Applicants have until January 15, 2024, at 11:30 PM Pacific Time to submit their applications. The application deadline for U.S. applicants is March 15, 2024, at 11:30 PM Pacific Time.

Previously hostile parties must now cooperate. They must learn how to resolve their conflicts amicably and with respect for one another.
