Job Description
Founded in 2018, the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) is an international non-governmental organization that operates without profit. 37 global universities, international organizations, and scientific institutes are among the founding members. ANSO seeks to advance more S&T collaboration and communication as well as human lives and well-being on a regional and global scale.
With the intention of educating and fostering young scientists from all over the world, the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents, often known as the ANSO Scholarship, was formally introduced in 2019. Every year, the ANSO Scholarship provides funding to 200 Master’s and 300 PhD students so they can pursue postgraduate studies at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) institutions around China, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
The ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship, a subcategory of the ANSO Scholarship, was formally introduced in 2022. Least Development Countries (LDCs) and women shall get particular (but exclusive) attention, in line with TWAS/UNESCO’s emphasis. TWAS/UNESCO will choose up to 50 PhD candidates from underdeveloped nations each year for this category.
The primary sponsor of the ANSO Scholarship is CAS, a prominent founding member of ANSO. A portion of the financing for the recipients of the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship comes from TWAS and UNESCO, two of ANSO’s founding members. All parties interested in working with ANSO to develop a more varied scholarship program are welcome to join.
