SBW Berlin Scholarships 2023 in Germany

With our scholarship program, we assist young, brilliant individuals from overseas who have demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility by performing voluntary work in their home nations. We firmly think that education is essential to enhancing living standards in the world’s poorest nations. As a result, we provide scholarships to young, deserving foreign talents to pursue a university degree or an apprenticeship in Berlin as part of our collaboration with other non-profit organizations. A complete scholarship covers all costs, including tuition, housing in one of our on-campus student apartments, and a monthly stipend for living expenses.

SBW Berlin scholarship students conceive, plan, and carry out their own social nonprofit initiatives right from the start of their studies. These initiatives should ideally be closely related to the efforts of other non-profit groups working to raise living standards in the scholarship recipient’s place of origin. Scholarship winners are encouraged to continue working on their projects and put the skills and information they acquired during their time in Berlin into practice once their studies are successfully completed. SBW Berlin is available to offer guidance and mentoring.

The aim of the scholarship winner to return to his or her native country to work there for at least 18 months once the study program is over is one of the most important conditions of the SBW Berlin award. Hence, SBW Berlin has supported all scholarship winners in achieving their professional goals in their home countries from the start of the award. This is accomplished by networking with other organizations, SBW Berlin’s aid with focused job searches in the countries of the scholarship winners, and the subsequent creation of employment materials. The generated social nonprofit initiatives should also have close ties to the nations where the scholarship winners are from.

Currently, only students from Eastern Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa are eligible for our grant. These areas, in our opinion, require the most assistance for growth owing to the existing economic and/or social climate.
