Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships

International candidates with exceptional academic achievement are given the Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarship.

Applicants must have submitted an admissions application to the University of Edinburgh to use the scholarship application portal. Please be aware that it may take up to five working days after an application for admission has been submitted for all system checks to be finished and access to be granted.

Benefits

  • Subject to good academic achievement, the £5,000 scholarships are renewable for the duration of the study program.
  • If a formal school decision of “Progress” or “Conditional Progression” has been made, the student is considered to have achieved satisfactory progress each year without repeating a year. The award will be terminated after any year the student does not progress adequately.

Eligibility 

  • The scholarships are given to students who have been approved for full-time admission to an undergraduate degree program offered by the University’s School of Mathematics and who have International Fee Status.
  • Students who are already in the program are not eligible for the award. Also, it is not accessible to students enrolled in a degree program in mathematics offered by a different School within the University.
  • Although applicants should have used the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS) to apply to the University of Edinburgh, they do not need to have done so to start the scholarship application process.

How to Apply

Applicants must have submitted an admissions application to the University of Edinburgh in order to use the scholarship application portal. Please be aware that it may take up to five working days after an application for admission has been submitted for all system checks to be finished and access to be granted.

  1. The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd our web-based information portal at https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
  2. When logging in to MyEd, you will need your University User Name and password.  If you require assistance, please go to http://www.ed.ac.uk/student-systems/support-guidance

Students will be notified of the outcome of their application by 31 May 2023.
