Job Description:
Provide immunization services as per EPI and BPHS policies to all targeted children and women in the health center coverage area.
Manage the vaccine cold chain system in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health and UNICEF protocols to prevent the wastage of vaccines.
During NIDs, cooperation in national polio vaccination campaigns, active support, and keeping active vaccination centers in health centers.
Advise and educate patients, families, and communities on vaccination and related health issues.
To share knowledge and skills with medical, midwifery, and nursing students and all professional staff regarding their job requirements.
Perform limited, administrative duties such as registration of vaccine clients, reporting of activities, maintenance and management of the clinic and its related facilities and equipment, and special education or awareness of vaccinations for clinic personnel and the community. Coordinate programs.
Provide special assistance to the community when needed.
Participate in workshops and meetings to improve your knowledge and skills.
In order to increase the knowledge and skills of the health center workers, share their knowledge and experience with them and participate in the weekly meetings of the health center for the same purpose.
Monitoring and using various methods to prevent the spread of infection.
Any problem that hinders the delivery of services or the achievement of program goals should be immediately shared with the health center management and office in order to find a solution.
Attend weekly health center meetings to share information and discuss program progress.
Job Requirements:
Have citizenship of Afghanistan.
Graduate from Institute of Health Sciences, Nursing Department or EPI three months course.
Have practical work experience in the vaccination department in a clinic.
Be able to speak fluently in the local languages Pashto and Dari.
Having a kind and friendly personality and sufficient health and strength for work.
Be able to use a bicycle or motorcycle and have sufficient skills to work in a clinic.
Be a resident of the related clinic or have full knowledge and ability to work.
