Job Description:

The Operations Manager is in charge of overseeing the planning, reporting, and float management for the Mobile Money Service as well as creating and carrying out the procedures for the service’s daily operations. Working directly with Super agents, Agents, Merchants, and general customers, this role directly affects how the company is regarded by its customers.

Job Requirements:

1. To increase productivity and achieve organizational objectives, define the Mobile Money Services float management processes.
2. Ensure that the Mobile Money float Management practices are strictly adhered to and carried out.
3. Identify high-risk areas in the revenue cycle, paperwork, or billing procedures, and provide Mobile Financial Services solutions.
4. Oversee internal systems for tracking income and adhering to legal and tax obligations.
5. Keep track of and evaluate mobile money service operating operations and seek for new ways to market the service.
6. Ensure that revenue transactions, including revenue accruals for month-end closure, are accurate, timely, compliant, and efficient.
7. Ensure appropriate filing of Mobile Money reports and paperwork and settlement and reconciliation of internal accounts and Mobile Money transactions.
8. Check to see that there are daily, weekly, and monthly reports for all pertinent actions, trends, and revenues in the mobile money system.
9. Ensure the best possible adherence to the established Mobile Money protocols and fraud management.
10. Set a positive example for your team and motivate them with good stakeholder management, subject matter knowledge, and thought leadership.
11. Train team members and oversee mobile money finance operations.
12. Audit work and information flow; suggest improvements & adjustments to procedures to satisfy Super Agents, Agents, and Merchants.

Job Requirements:

1. A bachelor’s degree in finance, quantitative economics, business administration, or a related business field is required; a master’s degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of three to five years of work experience, at least five of which should be in a setting connected to mobile money financing activities.
3. Expertise in mobile financial services industry risk and regulation
4. The capacity to address simple financial issues and a solid grasp of accounting and financial concepts.
5. Excellent understanding of and presentation abilities for utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other applicable applications (to analyze data and create reports).
