The announcement of the results of the 2023 US Green Card lottery will be on May 6 (16 May 1402) at 20:30 Iran time. People who registered in the 2024 lottery last year can find out the result of their case according to the instructions below.
Announcement of the results and guide for reviewing the lottery results of 2024
First, enter the main lottery website https://dvlottery.state.gov and click the check status button on the entered page.
On the next page, you will enter the main page by clicking on the continue button.
- At this stage, you must enter the following information, then by clicking on the submit button, you can view your lottery result.
- Enter the confirmation number, the 16-digit code that was given to you at the end of the lottery registration.
- In the picture below, you can see an example of the final registration receipt in the lottery, which contains the 16-digit confirmation number.
- Last name: last/family name
- year of birth: year of birth
- authentication security code: letters and numbers are written in the image, which you must enter exactly like it in the box opposite to it. This is to confirm that the site is not a robot or spam.
- Then click on the Submit button.
- If you win the lottery, you will see the image below.
If you do not win the lottery, you will see the following image.
Note: Winning the lottery does not guarantee getting a green card. The number of people who win the lottery is always far greater than the number of people who are eligible for immigrant visas. The reason is that all the people who won for reasons such as:
- They are not allowed to continue the visa process
- They have not continued the process of obtaining a visa
- They will not reach the end of the visa process.
